There are too few. I’ll try to keep em coming. If you have any that should definitely be up here, give a holler. I imagine you to be a better doctor than me.

Well, get this. I fuckin hate books like this. But it’s real, real good. It’ll freak you out how true it is. Plus, Dr. Schwartz rocks an extremely gentle vibe. Like, the way she writes makes you actually feel better as you’re reading it. I find that to be super uncommon in books like this.

If you’re thinking about ending it, offing yourself, doing away with existence, guess what? That’s your right and your prerogative as a human. HOWEVER! Admit that your knowledge of what will transpire in the future is pretty much bullshit guesses. Also admit that you’ve got nothing on earth to lose. Who cares? Don’t think about it. Just call these peeps. They’re cool. It’s the end of the world for you but to them, it’s like Thursday or whatever. Get your people.

God almighty! Where’d this lady come from? She rules. Heather Tuba. She’s not a therapist or anything but she’s married to a dude who’s been through the ringer with complex-PTSD. So she’s been through it too. She had to deal with all the gruesome fallout from her partner, found scant sources online, so started her own thing. What a fuckin hero, this lady.

If you’re in this spot and trolling around on this page, just watch this (and part two and three. Even my church friends will dig it). I include it in the book but, holy shit, it’s worth watching (listening to) ten times in a row. For me at least, this dude, Martin Prechtel, just has it dialed in. So funny, so tender, so urgent. The depths of your grief are part of what make you alive. No evil. Thirteen thank-yous.
